Rose Sweaters modernises continuously: the knitting floor runs on the latest all-direction-feeder machines, the laundry uses a fraction of the water of hand washing, and a new unit built to LEED Platinum opens in 2027.

All-direction-feeder machines give each yarn carrier its own motor and a free path to the needle, so complex jacquards and multi-yarn structures knit cleanly at speed.
Industrial washing with recirculating showering systems sprays recycled, filtered water directly onto tumbling sweaters. The concentrated, low-volume discharge is faster and cheaper to treat in the effluent plant.

| Water metric | Hydro technology | Manual hand washing |
|---|---|---|
| Average water usage | 7 to 10 litres per kg of sweaters | 25 to 30 litres per kg |
| Water saving | Up to 70% of total factory intake | 0%, the baseline |
| Liquor ratio | 1:6 to 1:10, highly concentrated, controlled moisture | 1:25 or higher, standing water in tubs |
| Rinsing method | Recirculating showering of recycled, filtered water | Flood rinsing, tubs filled and drained by hand |
| Effluent treatment load | Low volume, faster and cheaper filtration | Large volumes of diluted, chemical-heavy wastewater |
Two finishing upgrades are scheduled for the next year, each closing a loop that used to waste steam or water.
Rose Sweaters is adding another production unit on site, operational by June 2027, with a further unit planned to start construction by 2029.
